I wish life were a little more innocent.

Innocent enough, so that the phones didn’t emit radiation.

And cigarette smoke was just flavoured air.

Innocent, so that the alcohol’s burn was just a thrilling sensation in the mouth and nothing more.

Innocent, so that entertainment was just entertainment.

Innocent, like a hot cup of tea on a rainy day.

I wish life were a little more innocent.

Innocent, so that you could stay up late and still function well the next day or maybe have more hours for everything.

Innocent, so that the more you slept, the healthier you got.

And you could go to extremes and still stay balanced.

Innocent, so that the body adapted faster and you could adjust it to your demands.

Innocent, so that everything tasty was also healthy.

Innocent like the laughter on shared struggles.

I wish life were a little more innocent.

Innocent, so that shopping was just abundance and not wasteful consumerism.

Innocent, so that the joy of your first time of anything stayed the same forever.

Innocent, so that you could comfortably lead a dual life. Worker by the day and treasure hunter at night.

Innocent, so that long showers didn’t waste precious sweet water.

Innocent, like the first bicycle ride.
