We are here to discuss an amazing adventure travel show called “Dirt”, by the lifestyle and media brand Huckberry.

It is arguably the best adventure travel show on YouTube. There’s nothing like it on the whole platform.

Huckberry markets itself as the One Stop Men’s Shop for everyday adventure.

Stating that they are equal parts lifestyle retailer and a media brand. The story of the founders and the brand is also quite interesting. You can read about it on their about page.

The way they have combined commerce, art, and adventure is commendable. It truly shows what young brand energy is.

As stated by Huckberry, the show’s premise is as follows:

“Teaming up with local chefs to craft one meal that truly represents a region, host Josh Rosen goes looking for the unique ingredients, makers, and communities that give every place its own special flavor.”

At first, this might seem like a generic setup, but what sets it apart is the production quality and the adventurous character of the host.

The host himself has got a gig of a lifetime with this show and he agrees. I would love to produce something like this of my own with Soulo.

I first saw the show two years back, and I have seen about five episodes of the show so far. My current favorite is the one on New Zealand, and I loved every minute of each episode.

The way they have shot it, the visual style of the footage, the ambiance, the music, and most of all, the places they have been to.

Its soft, glowing footage creates an atmospheric liveliness on the screen. Together with its fruity color grading, it captures the feeling of everyday adventure.

Its simple format, a small crew – led by director Kate West, and minimal writing keep the storytelling natural and focused on the people and the places they cover.

All great creative choices. Props to the whole team.

They even made a video about how they made the best adventure travel show on the internet. It has details about their entire production. Worth a watch for the professionals of the trade.

It’s a zealous comfort show that can truly want you to get up and get going on some adventure of your own.

Conclusion

When you are outdoors, getting dirt is inevitable, and this show celebrates that happenstance of getting dirty when pursuing adventure.

Where dirt is not just dirt, but pixie dust.

From cities to seas, to mountains, and jungles, it covers everything.

It’s definitely a hidden gem at this point. Award-winning as well.

A couple of their videos have hit the million mark, but the rest are well around the 100-600K views range.

Their channel hasn’t blown up yet, which is surprising to say the least.

But again, it’s not noisy and loud like most content out there.

It requires a developed taste and an appreciation for the outdoors. It’s also very niche, won’t deny that.

It is, however, a show for the aficionados of food, culture, travel, adventure, and great filmmaking.

If those fall under your radar of interest, do not miss watching this one-of-a-kind show on the internet.

I usually relish great things slowly, but it’s been a moment, and now that I have recommended you this show, I am going to finish watching all the episodes of Dirt ASAP.

P.S. Post not sponsored by Huckberry. Although I would love for them to sponsor something for a fellow adventurer and creative across the ocean.
